2020 Hewitt Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2020 Hewitt Cabernet Sauvignon is robust, rich, and plentiful. Layered aromas of dark blackberry, black raspberry, and black cherry pique interest on the nose. A riper, more exuberant, and fruit-forward style, a signature of the vintage, offers a big, full-bodied, powerful, and punchy impression that showcases depth and finesse alongside tremendous multi-layered character. Hints of brambleberry fruits, sassafras, sarsaparilla, and cherry cola dance across the palate while a creamy, floral-violet mouthfeel supports alongside flavors of dark plum and muskier perfumed notes of rum raisin and dark chocolate. Sinewy tannins provide a sumptuous texture and mouthfeel leading to a finish with tremendous length and persistence, all enveloped by mouthwatering acidity, elegance, and balance. Drinking beautifully upon release, it will continue to soften, round, and integrate when cellared properly over the next decade.
